There are certain things in life that make all of us anxious, and the night before any exam is one of them. Students often experience a lot of stress and anxiety leading up to a big exam. It’s not uncommon for students to have trouble sleeping the night before their exam.

Simple ways to keep in mind a night before the exam:

1. Wisely using time for revision: You should keep in mind that you have limited time to go through all the information, so use that time wisely to remember what you’ve read. You can do it in different ways – you can go through all your notes once again, recall the syllabus topic by topic and to the point, review with a friend to make sure neither of you left out something important.

2. Check in on yourself: Ask yourself if everything that was under your control has been addressed or not. Make sure you are being kind to yourself, appreciate your accomplishments until now and check in on your friends too.

3. See the exam as a challenge and not as a threat: If you see the exam as a threat, then you will obviously be scared about that and lose your confidence which will affect your results. Rather than that if you can think about it as a challenge then you will feel motivated and less stressed and ultimately you can do well in the exams.

4.Get a good night’s sleep: The increase in stress caused by focusing on “what if it goes wrong” will hinder the sleep quality the night before the exam. The good amount of quality sleep cycle in the night has an effective impact on exam performance. It helps the students in improving the memory and concentration for the next day.

5. Have the right motivation: Look at learning as an opportunity to gain knowledge, not simply to get marks, or as a part of a competition. When you start giving importance to learning, you realize that the need for knowledge is beyond academic scores.
