Question : I want career guidance. I am in 12 grade. PCM student. Maths-98 %, Physics-99%, Chemistry-92%. What graduation I should do? What should I become? Teentalker

Dear Teentalker,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your concern.

With such high scores in PCM, if you are interested in engineering, you should pursue engineering (BE or B.Tech). However, you can also pursue BSc (Hon) in Physics, Chemistry or Math. Whatever subject you choose for honors, the other two subjects can be taken as electives.

There are various career options in all the three fields like in Math, you can do masters in Actuarial Science and work with any big bank, an Insurance company or even Government department to analyze data for risk assessment.

With Chemistry, you can be a chemist working for a big pharma company in research.

With Physics there are unlimited fields from Astronomy to the industry like automobiles, aviation, marine to education. Ocean engineering is another field worth pursuing.

With Math or Physics, you can also pursue Merchant Navy after Grade 12 directly or after Graduation.

Regards,
