My daughter is undergoing depression. How can I help her as a parent?

Question: My 14 year old daughter is going through depression dute to some issues. She has lost her appetite, have become weak, sleeps less, unable to study and stay aloof. How can I help her as a parent?

Being a parent to a daughter who is currently dealing with depression can certainly come with its share of challenges. However, the first step towards healing for any person for that matter is to understand what is depression all about, really.

So let's try and understand a little more about depression: It can seem like your mind has been fractured and the feelings of sadness and hopelessness can be so strong, that you don't want to do anything.
