I sleep for 14-15 hours in a day. Is it too much?

Question : I had given my exams but the result is not out yet . I think I sleep a lot. I mean about 14-15 hours in a day. Is it too much? If yes please tell how can I avoid sleeping that much and also I am bored at home. Can you please tell me some things that I can do in lockdown.

A 6-8 hours’ sleep is supposed to be sufficient for an adult. But in case you feel that your body is feeling tired and lazy, you must start with some physical exercises. What happens is that when our brain starts to have a lack of oxygen, that is, there is no proper oxygen supply to it, we start to feel sleepy. It is completely understandable that you are feeling the need to sleep for longer hours, considering the lifestyle we have equipped ourselves with in the lockdown phase. A few things you can do to curb it are-
