Dear Teentalker,
Thanks for reaching out.
It is not a happy sight, seeing so many people infected from the novel coronavirus, and worse, with it being present right outside your home.
COVID-19 being an unplanned or forced change that no one had anticipated has led to the disruption of the equilibrium. This changed situation has made a lot of people feel insecure about their basic needs.
With this loss of sense of security the fears you have, arise. Try to engage in activities that make you feel relaxed and happy. Sure, meditating, yoga might not have worked for you as effectively as you’d want it, so I’d suggest looking for something therapeutic that calms you. You can take help from this link -

It can be something as simple as watching online series that you love, or perhaps painting or drawing for hours, or even gaming online with your friends if that’s you find what sparks joy in you, only you know what it is and only that would work best for you.
COVID-19 might have done a ton of terrible things, but one thing it has surely done is getting us closer to our family, even if we didn’t intend it to happen. Use this time to get to know them better, maybe ask them to share stories that you’ve never heard of, absorb the experience, the laughter, and the tears. If you don’t stay with them, speak with them through video calls. Make it an hourly session every day, or longer if you guys enjoy it.
If all this still doesn’t help, don’t hesitate to connect with a psychologist or psychiatrist at the earliest to address the issue of depression.
Hope this is helpful. If you have any other query, please feel free to reach out to us on chat from Monday to Saturday between 11am and 7pm or leave us an offline message
