The purpose of stenography is to record information of any past or present event or case happening in any given organization or to type formal letters for officials within these capacities.
You may pursue training to become a stenographer from any institution which provides vocational trainings or office management courses after you have completed a degree course in any stream of education.
Types of employers who may hire stenographers are, government organizations, Indian railway, Staff Selection Commission of India, Parliament, Supreme/High/District Courts of India, Public sector units, Department of Atomic Energy, NCDC and likewise. In addition to these, there is a high demand of stenographers in Law firms as well.
Even though the growth of stenographers may be slow, the likelihood of finding employment in this sector is very high.
