Parents are forcing me to give NEET exam and I am interested in doing B.Sc and B.Ed. What should I do?

Question : From childhood when someone asks me about what I want to be in the future, my answer is always a doctor. I appeared for NEET exam twice as my parents wanted me to do an MBBS now, but I am unable to clear the test both times. I also lost interest in the NEET exam. Now I got admission to an integrated course of B.SC & B.ED and I like this subject. But my relatives and parents still want me to give NEET exam and they are saying that B.SC & B.ED are of no use. I am confused about what to do? Teentalker

It is unfortunate to know that you are being subject to so much pressure to take up NEET and that, too, because of your family members.  In most parts of the world, people will tell you that if you truly want to be successful, you need to select a career choice based on your career interests, your aptitude as well as your intelligence type.

Sadly, there is limited or practically no awareness of such concepts in many parts of India. That is why I would request you to go through the following articles in order to get some much needed clarity and also an idea of how to communicate this to your parents......
