MPPSC is an examination where intense passion and determination is essential. For MPPSC Exam Syllabus, you need to know about the new MPPSC Exam Pattern. The information about the new process and structure is stated below.
There are three stages in the examination offered by MPPSC.
- MPPSC Preliminary Exam
- MPPSC Main Exam
- Interview
- The exam consists of a written test and an interview. The examination is written for the two subjects you would choose from the list of 7 optional subjects and each subject will have two exams which are all Essay type questions. After clearing written examinations, you are invited for an interview.
Preliminary Exam Consists of Two Papers
- Paper 1 - General Studies - 2 hours - 200 Marks
- Paper 2 - General Aptitude Test - 2 hours - 200 Marks
- The number of candidates selected for the Main Examination will be about fifteen times the total number of vacancies to be filled in various categories of services and posts as indicated in the advertisements. Only those candidates who are declared by the Commission to have qualified in the preliminary examination under a particular advertisement will be eligible for admission to the Main Examination.
- To be eligible for the main examination, candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each question paper of preliminary examination. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class and Handicapped Candidates the minimum qualifying marks will be 30 %.
Main Exam has Six Compulsory Papers
- Paper I - General Studies I - 3 hours - 300 Marks
- Paper II - General Studies II - 3 hours.- 300 Marks
- Paper III - General Studies III - 3 hours - 300 Marks
- Paper IV - General Studies IV - 3 hours. - 200 Marks
- Paper V General Hindi 3 hrs. 200 Marks
- Paper VI - Hindi Essay - 2 hours.- 100 Marks
Interview Test
- The qualifying marks for interview for unreserved candidates is at least 33% marks in each paper and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Class and Physically Handicapped categories, need to attain 23%.
