Dear Teentalker,
Thanks for reaching out.
Big congratulations for cracking entrance exam for medical and that too in very good college. You are one of those lucky students in India who get best of both worlds. Good Course as well as good college.
I am sure the issue of friend which is possible everywhere should not affect the decision of your joining this college you have mentioned about, because you are dealing with something much more serious than the relationship with a person who can be in your life even if not in same college if you want.
You must convincingly assure your parents about the aim of your life and provide them the security they need at this moment. Before you try to communicate to them you need to be sure of yourself as to what do you want. You may ask for their support to drop and pick you up from college if this suits them but you need to take your stand and focus on your career.
Sometimes parents get overwhelmed by these trivial issues but you as child need to provide them security with your words and then put all possible efforts to keep your words and be ethical with yourself as well as with parents. Try communicating with them more positively , I am sure they will understand.
All the best and be focused. Hope this is helpful. If you wish to discuss your situation further, please chat with us from Monday through Saturday between 11am and 8pm or leave us an offline message.
