I want to be an IPS Officer, so how should I prepare for it?

Question:  I have an issue that I want to be an IPS Officer, but everyone says that if you want to be an IPS Officer, you should want to know Maths till standard 10th, but I am in EVS. So what can I do? How can I be better at Maths? Teentalker , 14-year-old

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns.

In order to become a class 1 police officer in India, you need to clear the IPS (Indian Police Services) exam which is held by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

In order to be eligible to appear for the IPS exams, you should have completed your graduation in any stream from a recognized university by UGC. So, if not taking Maths, doesn't get in the way of you graduating from a program, then don't worry. Many Arts related programs don't require you to take up Maths anyway. You cannot appear for the Civil Services after.....
