Dear Teentalker,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns.
Appearing for 12th standard exams and then preparing for medical entrance exams certainly requires a lot of stamina and congratulations to you for getting through this phase! Apart from MBBS, the other options that you can explore are Dentistry, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Veterinary Science, Homeopathy and other allied branches of Medical Science.
Sometimes things work out as per plans and sometimes they don't. But the key to doing well in life is to know what you truly want out of life and to pursue it regardless of the challenges that lie ahead.
Some of the best lessons in life are learnt during life's most challenging moments. So, now is the time to re-evaluate your priorities and ask yourself the following questions:
1. If you could have anyone's job in the world, what would you choose?
2. Would you ever want to work for yourself, that is be self-employed?
3. How much money do you imagine yourself making when you're older?
4. What activities are you most excited about or committed to?
5. What subjects did you enjoy studying the most during your school/college years?
6. Which subjects did you enjoy studying the least (that is, subjects you did not like) during your school/college years?
7. In general, what are you good at?
8. In general, what are you outstanding at?
9. Your areas of improvement (weakness) are?
10.If money, family and societal pressure (log kya kahenge) were not an issue, what is the one thing you would enjoy doing the most?
Please write out your responses to each of these questions. Getting some much needed clarity when it comes to making the right career choices takes time, but the effort put in will be definitely worthwhile.
Hope this helps, if you have any other query do connect online for chat between 11am-8pm or drop us an offline message.
