Do’s and Don’ts for Break up

Do’s

  1. Rethink about what you want and why you want it. Even if the other person might be hurt from this but it’s okay to do what’s right for you.

  2. Think and rehearse about what you’ll say, how you’ll say and how the other person might react.

  3. Show your intentions and let the other person know that you care for him/her.

  4. Try to be kind and gentle but be honest about your feelings.

  5. Try to talk in-person while breaking up. If that’s not possible at least try to video call. The expression of emotion is important.

  6. If you want, you can discuss this with someone you trust in your life before breaking up. But make sure that it remains between the two of you and not reach your partner.

  7. Listen to what the other person thinks or want to say about your decision. Let them put their thoughts about this decision.

Don’ts

  1. Don’t disrespect.

  2. Don’t get into any harsh conversation. Think twice before you say anything.

  3. Don’t avoid this conversation for too long just because you don’t want to hurt the other person.

  4. Don’t be in a hurry while talking to the person.

  5. Don’t do it in a message or a regular call. It seems insensitive and cowardly to do so.
